While You Were Sleeping Review

I usually see posts like “What am I going to do with my life now?” when a drama ends and I’m going to say it too.

“What am I going to do with my life now?” (deep sigh)

I’m giving this drama a TEN. Nothing is perfect but I watch dramas for entertainment not for the technical stuff.

I would like to thank the director, writer and actors/actresses for this wonderful creation. They made an amazing drama, funny and entertaining from episode 1 up to the finale. They’ve shown the bad side of people but highlighted humanity’s positive side. The development of each characters, even the small characters, are very interesting. The pace was a bit fast at first but I guess what matters is how it ended. Thank you for the satisfying ending and you even managed to put a bit of twist and comedy on the finale. This is the finale that I’m always looking for.

I think it’s going to take a while for us to forget Jung Jae Chan, Nam Hong Joo and Han Woo Tak trio but I’m not even worried because I’m positive we’ll see them again soon whether small screen or big screen. Lee Yoo Bum is one twisted character and he’d be hard to forget as well (Lee Sang Yeob played a cute character on My Wife’s Having an Affair this Week though).

I heard Lee Min Ho and Suzy broke up. I’m sorry for their shippers but I’m actually not surprised. I think they’ve broken up for a while before the announcement which is why they didn’t want to reveal when it happened. They have too many fans and their management had to find the right time to tell people . Since Lee Jong Suk and Suzy couple was successful, they took the chance to reveal the truth.

As for Lee Jong Suk, I thinks this is his best work to date. His performance specially on the last episode was awesome. I hope he continues this trend and be careful with his next choice and avoid doing ridiculous dramas like Doctor Stranger.

To my fellow drama lovers, I hope you watch dramas not only because of romance but pick up on the most important lessons in life as well. I found this drama meaningful not only because of the chemistry between the main characters but also because of life lessons it portrayed.

My favorite line in this drama will always be this :

“Please let justice flow like a river.”

There’s always two sides of a coin. Let’s do our best to make the right choices in life. But in case we choose wrong, the best route is acceptance. Let’s not insist that what’s wrong is right. Let’s not force the puzzles to fit. No matter what you do, always be the better version of yourself.
